Amber Anning

Olympian

Amber Anning is the 2025 World Indoor 400m Champion, a two-time Olympic and World medallist, and the British record holder over 400m and 200m indoors. Born in London and raised in Australia and Hove, Amber has risen to become one of Britain’s brightest sprinting talents. Her journey took her to the US on a scholarship, first at Louisiana State University and then at the University of Arkansas, where she became a three-time NCAA champion and broke multiple collegiate and national records.

Amber graduated in 2024 with a degree in Advertising and Public Relations, complemented by minors in Journalism, Strategic Media, and Psychology, equipping her with skills that extend far beyond the track. That same year, she made her Olympic debut in Paris, winning two relay medals for Team GB and finishing 5th in the fastest Olympic 400m final in history, setting a British record of 49.29 seconds. In doing so, she joined Mary Rand (1964) in an exclusive club as one of only two British women ever to break three national records at a single Olympic Games.

Her defining moment came in March 2025, when she stormed to gold at the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Nanjing, becoming the first British woman in history to win the world indoor 400m title. Beyond the track, Amber is developing a profile that spans media, fashion, travel and beauty. She is committed to inspiring the next generation and promoting ambition on and off the track.
